Joint Spatial Planning Department Berlin-Brandenburg
The Joint Spatial Planning Department (GL) is responsible for spatial planning and state planning in Berlin and Brandenburg. It is part both of the Senate Department for Urban Development and Environment in Berlin, as well as of the Ministry of Infrastructure and State Planning in Brandenburg. The GL is the only nationwide supreme authority being responsible for two federal states in this area.
The aim of the initiative and of the projects Scandria® focusses on the expansion of the European north-south axis from the Baltic Sea to the Adriatic to set regional economic development impetus and to activate unused potential.
INTERREG (= European Territorial Cooperation) is part of the structural and investment policy of the European Union and, for more than 20 years, it has been supporting the cross-border cooperation between regions and cities that affect everyday life.
These include, for example, transport, labour market and environmental protection.
It was the project objective to demonstrate how multi-level governance models, tools and approaches can contribute to a better alignment of transport policies in the BSR at various administrative levels.
INTERREG V B Program CENTRAL EUROPE
The INTERREG V B Program CENTRAL EUROPE is a Structural Funds Program of the European Union to promote cooperation between the Central European countries. Funding priorities focus on the areas of innovation, CO 2 -reduction, environment and culture, as well as transport.
